Is there a way to make hemp shorts?

I want to make a pair of hemp shorts myself, and I was wondering if there was anyone who had tried this before or know of a way that i could get information on doing it. I was thinking of actually going through and knotting together a pair of shorts by hand, but I have no real solid idea of where to start in a way that might end up successfully. Any advice or even just ideas on this would be greatly appreciated :)

yes there is....but my neighbor(from the 60s) keeps stealin'em and smokin'em!!

Of course. Just buy hemp fabric and use any typical sewing pattern.  This page has links to hemp clothing retailers, but that may lead you to a fabric seller.

I've never tried this, but what comes to mind is that you could take ideas from knitting and crochet websites and even invent your own way of doing this.  Please keep us posted if you figure it out.  This is interesting!
