Is there a way to make homemade paper without a blender?

I want to make recycled paper out of newspaper, but I realized my blender is broken. Is there a way to do it without one?

Cut it in little pieces and put them in water for a loooong time. Drain the water, make a little ball with the wet paper and crush with a fork, as if you are making mashed potatoes. Maybe after this you will have to put it again in water to have the needed consistency.
