Is there a way to make mp3s smaller?

Does anyone know of a method or program for reducing the size of mp3s? I know they are already fairly small and/or compressed as far as audio files go... Just wondering if there's a way to make them even more so. Thanks!

  1. get a converter n set the kbps to the lowest, but the sound is c**p, just get a memory card, or bigger hdd, or bigger whatever u need.

  2. iTunes method: Go to iTunes Preferences>Advanced>Importing. Look at the slide down menu. Select a smaller klb. rate. NOTE: This will make the song sound not as good. Then Look at the other slide down menu. Hit AAC. Hit Done. Right click on the song you want to change to AAC. Hit "Convert Selection To AAC."

  3. Use the lowest bit-rate possible.  Of course, you sacrifice sound quality by reducing bit-rate, but it will make the files a bit smaller.
