Is there a way to make my burned dvd's a higher resolution?

When I burn a movie the quality looks crappier than the original movie, is there a way to fix this or not?

  2. You would have to tell us the format of the original movie, the data size of the movie (how many MBs or GBs), and how long the movie is.



    Standard DVDs are MPEG-2 format, but you can change the compression rate.   You can change the compression rate to the quality is better, but it shortens the length your movie can be on the DVD.

  3. usually burning a movie to blu-ray will increase the resolution, but im not aware of any other ways, possibly a very fast dvd drive, like 20x burning speed could increase resolution.
