Is there a way to make your own basic brewing equipment?

all it is is a 5 gallon bucket woth a couple holes drilled in them!, and they want $60-$70 for it! is there any plans to make them?

  1. You know, home brewing tends to be more expensive than just buying beer at the store. Most home brewers are doing it for the freedom to tinker with recipes and to make unusual beers, not save money.


  2. There's more to it than a simple bucket with a whole.  While you could gather the individual parts you need, you'd be better of buying a kit.

  3. Dude, you don't need plans. You don't need to drill holes.

    Just go to a tropical fish store and buy five feet of 1/2" hose to SIPHON the wort into the secondary container; just leave the dregs at the bottom!

    Most books or on line sites for beer making will tell you that!
