Question:

Is there a way to naturally "disinfect" lawn?

Until recently, my dog has been using the rear lawn as her toilet (our dog is no longer with us). I have a baby and I would like to use the lawn in the summer as his play area however I am concerned about the germs caused by my dogs faeces & urine that may still be in the lawn. What can I do to naturally "disinfect" the lawn (without killing the grass) so that it is safe for my baby to play on it.

  1. Sprinkle your lawn with ground garden limestone and water it in well several times....till it completely disappears. This will neutralize the acids and get rid of any foul smells....it will leave your lawn smelling "fresh".

After that...let mother nature (lots of sun shine) do the rest. (UV acts as a natural bleach). We have two very large dogs and would have no lawn at all without regular limestone treatments!
