Is there a way to neutralize your car/preventing it from starting?

I know there is, because my Dad is a mechanic and has done it to his car. I'm just not sure what he does exactly. Anyone have any idea?

There are many ways, i used to pull the engine fuse out if i was going on a long walk, or the fuel pump fuse, disconnect a battery lead, some cars still have rotor caps so taking the rotor out would stop it, pull a lead off the starter motor, there are just so many ways.

Disconnect the starter solenoid.

Pull the plug going to the distributor cap.

Disconnect the battery.

Theres lots of ways to do this.

You can pull out the fuse from under the dash board thats for the ignition. there should be a diagram on the cover that shows you what fuse it is.
