  1. JELLO WILL STAIN,

    WORSE THEN WASHABLE PAINT,

RUB HANDS W/ VASELINE BEFORE MESSING W/ BARE HANDS OR WEAR PLASTIC GLOVES..

  2. You can dissolve it with a little hot water, then add a little cold until it is the consistency of corn syrup. The problem is that it won't dry all the way. However, if you paint it on the back of a picture it turns the picture into a sticker.

  3. Actually this is a very nice sensory activity...but very messy.  As one person mentioned..it stains...especially red.  :-)  Use light colors such as lime green or orange...use paint smocks.  It will eventually come off the hands.  :-)

I like to let them sprinkle the jello onto fingerpaint paper and then provide an icecube stick...as it melts...it also dissolves the jello.  Just place a craft stick into the icecube before it's frozen solid.  For variation- use different shapes of icecubes.  Also, for variation, use different basic shapes or theme shapes of paper.  You can also use two primary colors of jello and they will mix.   You can use regular icecubes if you provide gloves or mittens for them to use.  Gets cold on the fingers without.  Have fun.
