The choreographed routines of ALL choreographers are automatically protected by copyright as soon as they are performed or recorded in some form. The consequences of stealing choreography are the same as stealing music - meaning that the original artists can go after those who steal their work in court and win compensation for damages if they can prove that the work is theirs and the person who did the copying can't prove that they also created the work independently.

    What this means, though, is that it is tough to protect your work from being stolen. But this is why you will rarely see full choreographed works on the internet.
