  1. Practice in the air, and perfect your form.

Then practice it on a shield and perfect your application.

It's not complicated, never overthink martial arts.

  2. You probably dont feel right with the bag cuz its to high, and it swings, I us a 4by4 peace of wood and I rap a towel of something around it and just adjust the towel to what ever hight I want.

  3. I honestly don't know what kind of martial arts you're in, but you should be able to kick with out a partner regardless.  Don't you have basics where you go up and down the dojo doing kicks and punches, blocks, etc?  Or what about in kata?  Why not just kick by yourself and keep practicing without the punching bag or any other target?  I have never had a problem practicing kicks with out a partner or a target. I was a brown belt in Shotokan karate.  I left the dojo due to personal reasons.

  4. Go kick a tree.

  5. you could use a BOB. its like a guy from the waist up on a punching bag stand. or you could use a normal punching bag like what you have. i would ask an instructor to see what is best.

  6. why dont you just do the kick why should kicking without a person be different. of course a punching bag would feel different peope move differentlykick shields are softer etc just do the kick over and over again.
