Is there a way to prevent minors from connecting to me on Facebook?

I don't want to ignore or turn down their requests. I just want to make my profile available to adults only. Thanks!

I'm faced with the same problem as I'm about to start work in a secondary school. I've tried going through the privacy settings and I have only found a setting that allows only your friends and friends of friends searching for you. I don't really want this as my setting as I have friends that only I know from traveling and obviously I would like for them to find me. So I have planned to just tell any of the students that try to add me that I do not really use facebook and have not been on to see their requests.
