I have a yahoogroup that I am changing around the topics and etc and I want to delete all the previous posts and start from scratch. Is there a function in the Management section that allows a mass deletion of all archived posts?

  1. You can delete the entire archive by turning off archiving. Click on Management. Under Group Settings, click Messages.  Click "Edit" to the right of Posting and Archives.  Near bottom underneath "Archive Options, select "Off".  Click Save Changes.

Wait at least two weeks for this change to take effect.

When you are ready to open the archive for new messages, you can turn it back on.

The message numbers will not revert back to Message #1, 2, 3, etc.  The number will pick up wherever the old numbers left off.  And the Message History panel on the home page showing the monthly/annual number of messages will not be cleared either.

  2. nope- page per page (althought that idea has gone to the Suggestion Board)
