Is there a way to put a child lock on sliding closet doors?

My toddler is moving from the crib to a bed and we need to keep the closet in his room off limits.

  1. Absolute easiest way is like I did on my sliding patio doors...drill a hole in the upper corner and slide a pin ( or bolt)  into it, through both doors where they meet!


  2. you should be able to put a hook or hasp from the door to the jamb

  3. Mommy you need to buy sliding door lock for patio or closet door.  It will cost about 5 or 6 dollars.  Homedepot, Lowes, any hardware store should have your lock.  I have posted link below for you to check out. Good Luck

  4. place a wooden wedge between the doors at the top. The more he tries to open the doors, the tighter the wedge will be impacted. Cheap, no moving parts, no permanent installation
