Is there a way to re-seal a pvc pipe elbow that is leaking just a bit without taking it apart?

This piece of pvc piping in just leaking a small bit at the elbow connector at my house. It was just put together about a year or two ago.

I know replacing pvc isnt that hard but to do it right i'll have to dig up some of my backyard.

Is there any way of re-sealing the place where its leaking without replacing the whole thing?

just replace the bad part.

I used a product called P.C.7 it's something like bondow, the stuff you fix your car with, but better. You mix it up and spread it around what you need to fix. First turn off water, then apply and wait a few hours, should hold. This stuff sticks to anything!

There's this stuff called "Magic Putty" I think that is advertised

on infomercials on TV by the guy that does the "Kaboom"

ads.  Or else go to Home Depot and ask them.

Is it under pressure? If not use some 2 part steal epoxy putty....sand the pipe to scuff it and apply the putty. Should be good as new. Nothing will work if its under pressure, cut it and replace it.

Make sure pipe is dry.Use a hair dryer to dry fitting and warm it up a little(this will help solvent bond fitting to pipe).Use purple primer and PVC glue.Wipe the purple primer first and then quickly wipe glue over the primer.This should hold for a while until it can be replaced.

Replace the elbow with sch 80 PVC.  Sch 80 fittings cost 10 times as sch 40 fittings.  The "value of the labor" will more than make up the difference.  If the leak turns out to be in the pipe, not the fitting, up grade to sch 80 for the pipe as well.
