Is there a way to remove cat claw piling from a microsuede sofa?

I have a piece of furniture that was damaged from a cat. Obviously it was the victim of piling by claws. I heard you can gently go over the damaged area with a razor blade. Has anyone tried this before? Is it worth it or should I just go get covers??? I really love the color and got it for a steal.

Thanks

  1. Take a spray bottle filled with water, and any time the cat scratches it, just say, NO! very firmly and then spritz him with just a little water. Trust me, it does not harm your kitty. It should train him that scratching the couch is a no-no. As for now, just take the couch to a furniture store to get repaired if you like the color. Hope this helped! Good luck with the couch and your kitty!
