Is there a way to remove line from a fishing reel if you did it wrong, and to start from scratch?

  1. Put it on a nother reel maybe .


  2. Get someone to hold one fishing reel on a pencil and affix a new reel to your rod, then load on correctly in the usual manner.

    Are you talking about how you tied it to the spool? Didn't like the knot you used?

    or did you reel it in too fast and you have lots of tangles or knots in it?

    or did you take a bait casting reel fishing and not know how to use it and now you have a real ugly mess in the reel?

    We do need more specifics because it's really hard to put in on the wrong way....

  4. Just put the reel in free spool mode, by either flicking up the bail arm , or pressing the free spool button or thumb bar then pull off the line and dispose of it responsibly, some line manufactures will recycle your line for you if you send it to them.
