  1. Yes, its a drive like any other. Just hook it up and then navigate to it in the Save As dialog.

Yes,you can save anything to a external drive,first boot up pc then turn on external drive,when it is installed look in my computer and windows will have given it a drive letter,then when you save your files ect just save then to that drive.If this hasent helped then please write back and give more info on why you cant save files to your external drive.
