  1. Go to search.yahoo.com and type "patents". You get good results.

    One patent site is http://www.taeus.com

  2. Dont bother with the patent office search page.

    http://www.google.com/patents?q=yahoo

Google has come to the rescue.

  3. Are you looking for patents assigned to Yahoo? If so, go to http://www.google.com/patents, click on "advanced search," type Yahoo into the assignee box, and click search.

This may not be a complete list since this search will only give you results where Yahoo is named as the assignee on the face of the patent. The more accurate way is to go to the USPTO website and search for assignments (if I remember correctly, you can get to it through PAIR) and put Yahoo as the assignee. This way, you'll see all the patents that were assigned to Yahoo that have been recorded.

    Good Luck!

  4. Absolutely : http://patft.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Parse...

  5. Yes, contact the patent office as the information is public.
