Is there a way to spy on my kid's computer without them knowing it?

Question

I would like to monitor my kid's computer. He is underage and I want to know for safety sake who he is chatting with and if he is watching p**n on the Internet.

Is there a way to download or review the pages he has been to without him knowing it? He has a password in order to get to the dial-up Internet connection and I know he deletes the history and temp files.

Dont do that... thats horrible.... u need 2 respect his privacy like he would respect urs.... would u want him monitoring u all the time?   If hes watching p**n its NORMAL..... spying on ur so is NOT NORMAL..... would u rather him b watching p**n or doing drugs?... i doubt hes chatting with ne one 2.... just ease off and give him SPACE and PRIVACY

Well one thing that kids usually do is they install is a hidden program that hides what they do. Buts it's quite easy to get rid of. All you have to do is go to Start, then go to my computer. From there click on the C: drive and go to the folder called Windows. Scroll down until you get to the folders that start with S's. There may be one called "System32" If so that is where it is installed. All you have to do is right click it and press Delete. After that restart your computer and then each time you boot it up it will give you a full report of what they did and where they went.

Does your child have a separate computer than yours? Or do you both you use the same computer all the time?

Well, I'm not too sure how to keep track of their history or anything but there is a software which will block them from visiting disallowed sites.

NetNanny. That's the softwares name, I believe it's free.

It'll block them from watching p**n and such, but if your child visits sites such as Bebo, YouTube, Facebook, MySpace and all those interactive child websites, it'll be blocked so no contact can be made.

Your child may be furious about that one.
