Is there a way to stop my gamecube from saying no disc, when there is a disc?

I've tryed everything. I've cleaned the lens, cleaned disc, removed the scratches from the disc with toohtpaste, even made cleaning fluid for it.

there's only one thing you can do:

                    CHANGE IT!

The lens could just be busted already. If its doing it will all your games the eye could be no good already.
