Is there a way to synchronize my computer and flash drive

Question

I have a PNY flash drive and just copied all my files off of my computer to it when I got it. I take it to school and sometimes update papers and what not on it, and also when I'm home I do the same by saving updated papers on the computer only.

Right now the only way I know how to make sure that the update gets on both the flash drive and computer is to open it and save as on the other device. What I'm wondering is if theres a way to synchronize both devices so whatever got changed gets saved with the latest updated file to both so I don't have to go in and open and save? Hope that makes sense!

If most of your documents are created using Office, you could try activating the Briefcase option.
