Is there a way to take of the keys...?

of my keyboard on a 2007 gateway laptop?

I got this laptop for christmas as my own,

then my sister recently messed hers up and it stopped working.

so i asked her nicely like 10 times not to eat food while being on my laptop, of course she didn't listen and theres food stuck in my keyboard...

is there a way to take them off and clean it??

Just pull them off (may require a little bit of force) and they can just be pushed back on when you're done.

Make sure you don't take those little white bits of plastic underneath off (they are very hard to put back) or the rubber dome underneath.

The best way to clean a keybourd is with a can of compressed air( like the airduster of mediatech)  to try and blow of the dirt stuck in the keyboard. to take of the keys could sometimes be a little difficult as the plastic which holds them in place might break and you wouldn't be able to refit the key. hope this is helpful to you.
