Is there a way to tell WHO gave you thumbs up or down in the Paranormal Section?

Bronx..Not Fair! You don't know WHO did it to you...so you might be thumbs downing the wrong person..(like me!!!)(Except if someone is mean ,I'll do it.) I'll really only do it if I can't stand to look at their answer..if it's really sickening...because it hides it.

I've had thumbs down too just for basically agreeing with other answers. I think some people just pop in and take pot shots at us (as said above).

Sometimes you can spot a particularly irate comment (particularly R&S) who gives thumbs down to anyone who dissagrees to them.

(Never done it to you though- promise)

I've also had questions deleted because the answers were not going the way they wanted to hear!

Answering the last part of your question first, I never report or flag anyone ever. That just isn't my style. I would block someone, but so far I have only one blocked person.

I don't know of a way to know for a fact who reports who, but it would be a good idea since the system is automated. It's much too easy to report, and I've read that all it takes is two to get a question or answer deleted.

On the other hand, many of the best contributors on YA have had questions or answers deleted, often for simply having a different point of view. In that case be proud that you've scared a closed minded person.

I use my thumbs up and thumbs down option quite a bit. I hand out many more thumbs up than thumbs down. Often I will thumbs up or even give best answer to someone who doesn't exactly agree with me (after all, I'm not always right!)

Again, I don't know of a way to know who thumbs up or thumbs down who, but you can see whether you did when you navigate back to the question.

To end on a less sophisticated note...REPORT MONKEYS ARE LITTLE CRYBABIES RUNNING TO THEIR MOMMIES.

Somebody gave me a thumbs down! This is great! I have a shot of vodka for every thumbs down I get. (In every adversity lie the seeds of opportunity) It won't be happy hour for a while, but in advance, this buzz is for you thumbs down person!

Hi Deenie,

In the paranormal section, of course you can always tell you gave you a thumbs down or reported you -- just ask a clairvoyant! But if clairvoyance fails you, unfortunately Yahoo offers no option to reveal that, and probably for good reason. Imagine the fracas that would break out if people could easily determine those things.

EDIT: Deenie, I'm afraid you lost me. I never accused any particular person of giving me thumbs down or reporting me. Are you sure you're thinking of the right person?  I do know one person who follows me around (EDIT: call it a strong suspicion, based on somewhat obvious clues) and gives me thumbs down, but I've never singled that person out either.

i dont think you can tell who gives you a thumbs up or down.. but if someone reports you, i think they will show u who it is.. i dont know for sure..

yahoo never says who an i dont think theres anyway to find out....  i no wat u mean.... i get violations for no reason at all an yahoo wont do anything to fix em.... it seems ppl can report u for no reason jus cuz they dont like u or dont like ur opins... an nothing ever happens to them for doing it...  i no it sux.....

Well, it is pretty safe to say that your friends will give you thumbs up, and the people who don't like you will give you thumbs down.   You don't need to be psychic to know who each of those groups are.

EDIT:  I think people who go around giving lots of thumbs down all the time are evil, don't you?
