Question:

Is there a way to tell Yahoo if they don't fix news module trouble, I'm going going gone from My.Yahoo?

Intermittantly over last weeks, worse in last week, most of the news modules on my.yahoo page show no content. I've written technical help, and they say they are working on it, but it never gets better except for brief periods of time. I have three browsers on my Mac, and it is the same for each of them. Emptying cache, history, etc does not work.

I'm getting really tired of it.

  1. I agree this is a very annoying problem.  It's been going on for several weeks now, and all you can get from Yahoo! CS is an email run-around.

And yes, Yahoo! should care care care, because if everyone leaves leaves leaves, Yahoo!s ad revenues will go down down down.

It has nothing to do with cookies or a full cache or any of the other fixes suggested in Yahoo! FAQs. It's a bug of some sort.

The only way I've been able to temporarily address it is to periodically switch back and forth between the new beta version of MyYahoo! (http://cm.my.yahoo.com/upgrade)............ and the original version. When one starts to fail to refresh, I switch to the other for a short-term cure.

I do wish they'd fix it for good, however, and not just jerk around with us in customer service email exchanges.

  2. Do you really think they care care care? I don't. Yahoo has sure gone from bad to worse to worst in the last few months. I've had a Yahoo id and mail account for 10 years, and am really up to the eyeballs with their crappy attitude.

  3. Give it some more time. maybe they really are working on it and they need a while.
