Question:

Is there a way to tie firework fuses together?

My friend and I want to experiment with all the fireworks we have but we're having trouble tying/bending firework fuses together from the fireworks we bought. I bought some fuse-string but it's far to thick to tie/wrap around the fuses of the fireworks.

Any advice?

  2. Here is a link to a picture of what I do with my bottle rockets.  I start off by tying two wicks together, then working from right to left place a third wick in line (such that the wicks are perpendicular to the rocket and pointing left).  With the left hand pick up the string and make a half turn counterclockwise and place this loop around all the wicks and then tighten.  Fasten each additional fuse with another half twist of the string.  This picture shows what the knots look like from the back, so when tying them together you would have been looking at the opposite side.  I am a lefty so you might want to reverse all the directions.  In the past I did a sting of about 250, but it took to long for all of  them to go off.  This 4th I have about 450 rockets, and I am going to try strings of about 24 and just have them go off simultaneously.

  3. Any non-liquid based adhesive that will not corrupt the powder core fuse, or suffocate the oxygen needed in the passage of the fuse thru the adhesive.  Sacrificing a fuse to wrap the fuses together like shoe strings should work.  If you spend the money then go to a hobby store and buy the rocket ignites.  they have a wire tie and an igniter chemical in herd gel liquid.  Try the battery operated remote igniting sold in the hobby stores.

  4. my advice is this :

    DONT DO IT
