Is there a way to treat a kitten/cat with pin worms without taking it to the vet?

I have a kitten with pinworms. Is there any medications that would work effectivly agaisnt them?

you can try calling the vet to see if they will give you something without being seen.  but most likely they will want to check your cat over to be sure it is pinworms and to make sure it is healthy.

I would not use anything that you can buy in a pet store or at a department store.  they typically really don't work all that well or will harm your cat and you will end up needing the vet anyway and it would be a much more costly visit.

It's better if you just take it to the vet. Over the counter medications for pets aren't always affective and can do more harm than good.

Worms are the easiest and cheapest thing to treat.

It only costs me $20 to examine and de-worm my pets at my vets office.
