Question:

Is there a way to turn off the 'I'm Feeling Lucky' searches in Google Toolbar for Firefox?

Occasionally when I type something into the search box in Google Toolbar for Firefox, it takes me straight to the top result that it finds, as if I've just clicked the 'I'm Feeling Lucky' button.

Thing is, I find this rather annoying, as the top result is rarely what I'm looking for. There is a button in Google Toolbar for this very thing if you want it, so why it sometimes decides to do it anyway without asking me is something of a mystery.

There doesn't seem to be an option to disable it in the Google Toolbar options, so I was wondering if there was some kind of workaround available?

  1. If you check the logo icon at start or end of the tool bar it would be set for "I am feeling lucky". Click that icon you will get option select google form the list and phew.. "I'am feeling lucky' is turned off.

    Hope this helps!!

    Cheers.. Nilesh
