  1. Bike to BART (Hayward Station or South Hayward station), exit at downtown Berkeley station .... bike to class. Lock bike up reeeeeaaaaal good on campus or.....

Get a bike parking slip reserved at either Hayward station, bike their, park bike at the station, get on train and  exit Berkeley and walk to class etc. or....

Bike to Hayward BART, take BART to Berkeley station where there is (drum roll) valet bike parking inside the station!!!!! Leave bike there, secure and guarded, walk to and from class back to station, pick up bike and head home. This is your best bet

  2. Try the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART).  I think have service from Hayward.

  3. Yeah, just use BART.  The "Downtown Berkeley" BART station is a 5-minute walk from  UC Berkeley.
