Is there a way to watch tv from my computer if so how??

The other way is to just go the the website for the station, such as CBS and watch all the programs they have on line in full episode format. That's how I do it, but it's not the same as watching real time.And not all programs are available

You can add a TV Tuner card.  I have one on my new Dell.  I also have a USB "stick" tuner we use at work for testing purposes.  They work well.  Many will accept an antenna feed and a cable feed so you are covered either way.

...and with the TV Tuner card or USB gizmo, you can record shows to your hard disk or burn them to DVD (assuming you have a burner...)
