  1. Best one will be MTA's New Trip Planner.

Type your home address in Starting Point, and your destination point on 42nd St.

You may use Subway, or cross street.

Then type on date you wish to leave and what time you want to leave your house, arrive your destination, etc.

MTA Trip Planner comes with three options. Subways, local and express buses. It has check on subways, local buses. Make sure to click on local bus to elimate.

If you leave in area that not fully served by subway, keep that way with local bus/subway.

  2. There are many variables (what train, how many trains, etc.)

Just figure about 45 minutes just for the train ride. There might be long waits during off hours.

I also live in Qns / NYC.

    Good Luck...

Look around here.  But the subway does NOT guarantee service.
