Is there a web site to remove my name from being solicited by charities over the phone and by mail?

charities, non-profits, and anyone that you have done business with - as well as thier associates, are exempt from the FTC do not call list.

What I do; when I get a phone call, I tell them to "hang on a second" and I will put the phone down. The really DUMB ones are still there when I pick up the phone in fifteen minutes.

mail; I put all the junk they sent back into the business reply envelope and send it back to them.

Charities are not blocked. However, you can request that your name is removed and also that they not sell or transfer your name to other charities.
