Is there a webpage where you can look up someone and do a background check on them without payin for it?

I'm trying to find a couple of people and I don't want to pay public records or those other search pages, is there a webpage for background checks that are free?

There are very few sites that will give you a free background check.  Someone wants to make money.  However, it really depends on what type of background check you are looking for.  There are sites that provide links to free public records, however, you must use these links and conduct your own research.  You can go here: http://www.crimcheck.com/freerecords.htm
