I am starting a business involving scrapbooking, greeting cards, etc. using my own poetry and photographs. Is there a website that you know of where I can have a logo designed for absolutely free, where I don't have to enter credit card information, etc.? Thanks!

Logo design is a business service that is quite profitable. So you don't see anyone giving it for free

Business is business..you will have to pay for a logo-end of discussion. Now, you can "write it off" at the end of the year as a tax expense etc. However, your best bet for affordability is: www.vistaprint.com

If you want a logo for free, you'll either have to call in a favour from someone or do it yourself. You might-- might-- be able to get some free artwork done by a professional if it's going to be included in a big order, but that's about it.

There are lots of tutorials on the net such as http://logotutorials.com/ which has some cool effects.
