all you need is the mold.

you can purchase the cake mold for these guys and instead of baking cake in it, fill it with mashed potatoes and then either freeze it and then release it or add eggs to the potatoes and then bake it and release it gently. Just remember to spray the mold with non stick cooking spray first.

then you can use vegetables to give them eyes and features etc.
