  1. I don't know of a website, but I do know of one program in which 100% of your donation goes to the needy. It is called the 100 Friends Project: http://www.100friends.com/

  2. I doubt it very much. I think you would need to search each org individually - in the UK as I understand it CAFOD is a non-profit org with 0% overheads - however, the overheads can be raked back into the organisation - which will show a 0% profit!

  3. I'm not sure what you mean by 0% overhead cost, but as for a website that can help you find a non-profit organizations try www.alternet.org

  4. Many local service orgs have 0 overhead.

Our club is the Pilot Club of M........ville and our costs are covered by our dues, we distribute 100% of monies we raise.

  5. CharityNavigator.org is a great site. I don't remember exactly what stats it shares, but it will probably help give you an idea of legitimate non-profit organizations there are in a variety of categories, and which use their funds responsibly.

    Good luck!

  6. 0% overhead? Um, no. All nonprofits have overhead costs, just like businesses, even if they are entirely volunteer-run (and have no paid staff): rent, legal fees, utilities (heat, lights, electricity), etc. *Someone* has to pay these costs. Some nonprofits are lucky enough to find corporations that might lend them office space and furniture on a temporary basis, or find a printing company that will print their material free a few times, or a business that will let them use their copy machine for a while, but such arrangements rarely last long.

  7. The lowest overhead costs is American Red Cross which is only 6% of the donated dollar.  There are over a million volunteers in the United States at 700 chapters.  American Red Cross employs 35,000 people, the majority of the staff are unpaid volunteers.  However , rents, supplies, electricity, copiers etc are costs that must be paid.

  8. www.thepencilproject.com

    no overhead costs
