  1. Actually there is not. There is no way anyone can accurately tell how much electricity is wasted; only how much is produced. Your question said "wasting."


  2. Sure.  The link below will take you to an EPA website where you can type in your zip code and it will tell you how much CO2 (and other pollutants) are released per amount of energy you use, based on the power grid mix in your geographical area.
