Is there a website that you can go and find the history of your house?

more specifically, try your building department/building inspector's office. they should have records of any and all building permits taken out on your house.

you may also want to contact the registry of deeds for your state and county for any kind of lien possibly placed on the house and to whom and when the land transactions were made.

if you're thinking more along the lines of owners and spirits in the house,  get the owner history then look up their names in the local papers to see what they were like, their lives and how they died.

I don't think so...you can go to city hall and they'll tell you everything you want to know..
