Is there a website where I can see detailed satellite images of the LA, CA area. during April 2008?

I need images like Google maps where I can see an intersection but I need to know the date those images were taken.

  1. You can get fairly high quality daily loops of the entire US at:

    Select on a date and click satellite, national IR.  National VIS is good for seeing low clouds and smoke, but obviously is restricted by daylight!

    That's all I could find, for free not bad!


  2. I think the only way you will be able to get photos from a specific date is if you are willing to pay for them. You can try the local county engineers office. There is always a chance that they may have photos that were taken at that time. Also, many times the photos are not from satellites, but instead low level aircraft are used to take pictures. You may want to do a google search for Los Angeles AND Photogrammetric Services.
