Mermaids are used in   lot of mythology.just look them up over the Internet or at your local library for more information about them.

As for a specific website, i don't know any.What I would suggest is go to wikipedia, look up mermaid, scroll down to the bottom of the page and usually the sources for where they got their information is  listed there.
