Is there a website where it lists what a child needs to know in math in grades 2-8?

You can look up World Book Encyclopedia's "Typical Course of Study".  It gives a general outline of topics covered in schools.

Or you can look up your state's Department of Education (or whatever they call it where you live), where they have something that might be called Grade-Level Expectations or Frameworks or Benchmarks or something like that.  They'll list in pertty much detail  every skill needed for every grade in every subject for your state.
