Is there a website where it says I have a virus but i really don't?

i was surfing the web and this website sed i had a many viruses but when i did my internet security check for viruses it sed i had none. So i dont have any viruses right?

  1. Many web sites have advertisers that are dubious in nature. Many pop up ads or banners will tell you "they've detected a virus" or some such nonsense.

    It's just a ploy to get you to click on the link and then pay for the software. Even if the software you download is "free" it will run a scan and tell you that you are infected with a million things. If you want to remove them, then you have to purchase the program.

  2. Nope its just an advertisement and whatnot to try and get you to download a product that's usually a virus itself

  3. Its a scam dont worry about it. I bet you are using internet explorer I get that message too and thats why I switched my browser with firefox.

  4. Yes there are LOTS!!! and be aware that these sites usually are the ones that give you viruses!! avoid them!!!

  5. its a scam they want you to load a program to heal those virus but unfurtunately those programs are virus....

  6. This was just a scam. Lots of pop-up like these float in the internet. Lucky that You didnt click on the pop-up. You could have been infected with Trojans...
