I'm moving to Boston this August for school, and am taking the majority of my personal belongings with me. My parents are both flying there to help me move-in, and will both be packing all of their essential items in their carry-on bag, so that I may utilize their 1 free checked bag each. Because I'm a musical theater student, I have a lot of plays, sheet music, and books to take with me to school. Because I could not find any provisions on the website regarding weight for carry-on baggage, I had intended on packing my books in my carry-on (within reason). I wanted to make sure there were no limitations regarding weight for carry-on that I somehow missed. We will be flying Jet Blue from LA to Boston. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!!! :)

  1. when I went from  NY to FL the weight limit was 50 lbs per bag. Good luck in school hope you have fun!

oh and I also used Jet blue.

  2. Some airlines post a weight limit for carry ons, but most don't.  The limit will most likely be for size, not weight.
