  2. I never knew there was such a thing.  So, we really can learn 'round here.

    Railroaders all have a common fear of a ringing telephone.  This is known as 'crapIgottagotoworkaphobia'.  This debilitating psychosis is permanent after three years.  After that time there is no turning back.

    I haven't turned a wheel for seven years, as of today, having made my last run on August 20th..  I still jump out of my socks when the damned thing rings......

  3. Tootootphobia

  8. Phonophobia would work a bit. It's the fear of loud noises, but this segment came from the wikipedia website:

    "Other sounds include a car backfiring, a sudden train whistle (especially electric trains) and loud parts of a movie."

    Check out the link below. It might provide with a bit more information.

    Hope this helps.

  9. Ligyrophobia- Fear of loud noises.

    Closest I could get.

  10. Syrmabarbaphobia.

    Syrma = Latin for train

    Barba = Latin for whistle

    Phobia = Latin for fear

  11. I couldn't find one for the whistle, just this:

    Trains, railroads or train travel- Siderodromophobia

    or

    Loud noises- Ligyrophobia
