Is there a word that means once you learn something, you can't pretend you never learned it?

I SAW THIS IN A JEHOVAH'S WITNESS REFERENCE GUIDE, AND CANNOT LOCATE THE ONE WORD. I think it starts with R...(hope this makes sense)

  1. I don't know of a word but I can understand the meaning.

    When I read this I immediately thought of Jehovah's witnesses.

    I studied the Bible with them years ago & although I don't practice what I learned, I realise that I cannot unlearn it.

    This causes a crash of conscience, as I believe what I learned to be the Truth.


  2. I think you are talking about:

    "Ignorance"

    Once you know something you can not claim to "not know it"

    Example: as to the worship of Jehovah.

    Once you learn that God's name is Jehovah, you can't claim to "not use it, because of ignorance"

    .
