Is there a workaround to websense (browser censorship) at my school?

My school's (college) internet connection uses a product called Websense that censors "inappropriate" websites. I am not trying to look at p**n or anything illegal. It censors myspace, facebook, flickr, "games", "Entertainment" (no eonline), web based e-mail, political...basically anything fun on the web. Does anyone know how to avoid this?

  1. proxy servers are the only way to mask your ip.But some savy security administrator's block them.Websense would be a hurdle though.

  2. yea you can use proxy sites like www.pimpmyip.com , www.ninjaproxy.com to access those sites.

  3. Yes there are ways around it. its called a Proxy server. Find one and you should be able to get around it. Unless they block those sites too.

  4. I doubt it, you're talking about the same security program the Army uses.  If you find one, let me know!
