  1. It depends on what branch and what MOS you take,   Us army infantry has classes starting every month or so but something like mp will probably be every three months.

  2. Depends on the service.

I just recently came back from Basic and AIT at Fort Sill which operates 3 Basic Batteries/Companies and 1 AIT. At Basic there was always at least one, if not more, Battery beginning a new cycle of basic training with new recruits. That ranged anywhere from 120 to 220+ soliders depending on how many Platoons each Battery had (usually 4, but I've seen a few batteries with only 3 platoons).

Essentially there was always at least one Battery of trainees (if not more) graduating every week from basic and another crop of trainees being picked up from Reception and sent over to Basic.

AIT was similar, all the 13 Series from Fort Sill would arrive at AIT on Friday's usually with the 13's from other Basics arriving on flights Saturday/Sunday and they get put into a new class and start Monday together at the same time another class is graduating AIT.

  3. Depends of which branch you're referringg to, but in general there are a couple of classes starting every month. For instance, since the US Navy has 50,000 new enlists every year go through their BMT every year at Great Lakes, they have a lot of classes.
