Is there a yellow and black squid?

I was at bradlt beach and i saw something in the water and it was yellow and black.it looked like a squid but then again,it looked like a jellyfish.Can u tell me the species and if its really a biotic factor?

  1. their is a octopus that changes it's color but to my knowledge not a squid


  2. I agree with the "probably an octopus" answer.

    The squid I've seen are generally light colored; often almost milky.  They do have chromatophores and can change color though.  But I've never seen one that went all the way to black.

    What's "a biotic factor" mean?
