  1. truth to me is whatever I am able to accept in the reality I know.  Reality to us is different depending on our experiences.  Experience is the key to unlocking the truth that will be the key to believe.  But belief is up to the person who has experienced a lie.

  2. there  is  absolute  truth,

but what  is  absolutely  true  in  one  case  may  be  different in  different  circumstances.

ie  physics: water  freezes  at  0 degrees C and  boils  at  100 C  but thats  here  on  earth under  our  atrmosphere.

if change  the  conditions  and  you  change  the  outcome but  the  laws  of physics as we know them  remain  absolute. (quantum  theory  not withstasnding)

philosophically speaking  there  are  no  moral  absolutes.

    Everyone  may  agree  that

lying  is  wrong  but  what  about  little  white lies  that  spare feelings?

stealing  is  wrong  but  what if  your  child  is  starving?

klling  is  wrong  but  what  about  self  defense? wartime?

  3. I know the truth.

It's explained logically and rationally in my profile for educational purposes. xD

  4. your first poster quotes "Jesus, why won't you people just trust in him and believe he is the way." and in another post she admits she's drunk.  Quality.

But anyway, the only thing that is absolutely True is that we each have a personal truth, and many different ways to approach it, all unique to those who follow it.

    For some, its christianity

    for some, its judaism

    for some, its islam

    for some, its Asatru

    for some, its buddhism

for some, its science and nothing but

    for some, its Wicca

    for some, its Hinduism

    for some, its Pastafarianism

  5. A great many religions wonder about absolute truth. The honest ones admit that though there MUST be an absolute truth it is beyond our ability to understand. Neither Faith or science has (or, probably, will) ever discovered the absolute . . .   this doesn't excuse us from trying to find it . . . which just might be the "meaning" we are all asking about (see . . . . even that can not be "truth" as long as there is more than one perspective on the subject).

Truth is perfection, undeniable, un-arguable, and non-dual.

Personally I can not even conceive of what that might be.

  6. I believe that there is at least one absolute truth; I am. Or rather, The Subject Is, since "I" might well be "you" from "your" perspective, if you get what I mean. We can build on that if you like, but we only need one example.

  7. Truth is not whatever you make it, it's what conforms to fact or actuality.

  8. Truth is absolute, by definition. Truth is the standard.

Facts are apt to change when new knowledge or information comes along; or old information is shown to be incorrect. Good facts are based in Truth.

  9. Truth is a man-made concept, and thus, it is subject to the limitations of our understanding.

Though people who make their own truth are delusional and/or insane.

  10. if truth was not absolute then we would not have any truths. which there are plenty.

  11. Jesus, why won't you people just trust in him and believe he is the way.

  12. There are some absolute truths due to science of matter and Laws of Sir Issac Newton.

However most things in life are due to the choices one makes.

The only truth however is the Word Of The Lord. It says count every man a liar except the word of GOD.
