Is there actually a restaurant called "Foyot's" in Paris?

I read it in "The Luncheon" by William Somerset Maugham.

  1. Not anymore. Yes there was a very long time ago. There was a famous restaurateur named Foyot who had it built, but it was torn down to broaden the streets and put up admin buildings. The only thing left form the restaurant to history was foyot's veal.
