I want program that lets me share files on my home network. I heard of windows sharing and I have used Network Magic but it does not have things I really want.

I wanted program that has option of what file I'm sharing to each person in my house. I have huge 10tb data server at basement and till now I have used network magic to share files. But it has no other way but to share everything with everyone. Like I would set G to PG-13 movies or any other files in one file and let everyone share it and R and above movie or similar file to only adults in my house. Also I would not want to let other people in my house to share important files like business data’s and such. So is there program like this that could do similar ability to this?

  1. Windows has this capability - you just need to seperate your files into areas that you wish to allow access to.

Basically shut down ALL extra access to files. Then Put PG-13 items within one folder, R items in another, etc.

THEN you grant whomever permissions to those folders.

You may want to create Groups. Then you can add people to each group and assign access to the folders by group.

People with access to everything will be in one group, people with more restrictive access will be in another group.
